I was proud to be a DPhiE when:
-I received my bid and realized that the Panhel secretary who I had befriended during rush was a DPhiE and was also going to be my pledge mom
-when there was an anthrax scare on Pitt's campus about a week after 9/11 and they evacuated the dorms and made us all run down the blocked off streets to get away from the middle of campus and I ran into a few sisters and they immediately told me I could stay in their apartment for the night if I wanted to (and I had only signed my bid about 2 days earlier...I couldn't even remember their names but they were there for me anyway!)
-when my roommate who joined (and later quit) a different sorority would repeatedly say "I should have just joined Delta Phi Epsilon with you!"
-when I got my Big & realized that I had been her #1 pick for a little since Pref night as she had been mine too! (I later found a thread about Big/Littles on GC and saw posts she made about being so excited to get me as a Little!)
-after I came back to school for my sophomore year and for the first time met sisters who had been abroad the previous year and found out that they were IMMEDIATELY my best friends and I could automatically talk to them about anything
-when we won Most Improved Chapter, Best Recruitment, New Member Educator of the Year, and Best Sorority President for the Spring 2003 Cathedral Awards
-when we initiated the first Winter NM class in 2002, no one else on our campus had done that
-when my twin was the best VPP ever and almost single-handedly put together our first annual and very successful Deepher Dude pageant
-when I got my wonderful little Rayna and found out that she ranked me #1!
-when Lindsay, who had been an amazing President for 2 years, was elected Panhellenic President! I have never been more proud of anyone!
And so many more, but I ran out of time!
