We have a living requirement, but since our house holds 20 people and we have around 90 people in the chapter, some members never get a chance to live in the house.
Here's where I've lived:

But overall I'm really excited about living in.
your house/chapter sound just like ours, and yeah, the alcohol stays at the boyfriend's apartment which is no biggy.
