Hey ladies! Here is a poem I wrote for my little sister a few days before her initiation. I'm NOT claiming to be a great poet, but it meant a lot to me reading back over it now that I am graduating in a few weeks. (She read it to her little sister this year!) I just wanted to share it with you.
-----------------
“When are you a Chi Omega?”

“When you are having the best day of your life and when nothing has gone right.
When it’s been months since you’ve heard from your sisters and when they are close enough to hold you tight.

When you ace a test and when your class has an impossible project.
When you get a new car and when you go so fast you get a speeding ticket.

When you fall in love and when your heart’s broken.
When the man of your dreams asks you to be his wife and when a child calls you “mom” or “grandma” even.

On your first day at a new job and when you retire from your last one.
When you make a new friend and when you lose your oldest one.

When you sing during rush, when you’re excited at initiation,
When you dance at step show, And when you cry at graduation.

I could go on but I think you can see,
that you are ALWAYS a Chi Omega, today and for eternity."
