I have absolutely no doubt that it contributes to weight loss!! I also lost weight with the Atkins plan. But I have major concerns about the effects of weight loss on this plan.
ETA: In support of what you said and contrary to popular belief, you CAN eat PLANT protein on Atkins! You don't ever have to eat red meat if you don't want to.
