When I was a New Member, I had to give blood - it was part of the Greek Experience at my school. I must have been whiny about it afterwards, because a sister gave me a book called, "Journey" by Robert & Suzanne Massie. Their eldest son, Bob, is a hemopheliac, and it chronicles his youth as such.
This wise sister of mine said, "If you can read this and never give blood again, so be it."
I give on a regular basis. After all, how often do we get to give something for free that saves SO MANY lives?
