You know in the real world if you venture into personal opinions then you better be ready to listen to them. Did he push them on someone? Did he say you are my wife, you will clean my boxers at work? No.

She could concentrate the conversation on something else.

She could say I don't know when people ask something of her and make it known in a more polite manner.

And yes, she could just say "We should concentrate on this work".

And which is better winning points by saying you'd like to concentrate on work right now or by telling someone they're sexist or not accepting their opinion? Neither but I'd still pick number 1 to reduce my risk.
