From what I remember, Reggie was a street kid who hungout at the community center and he somehow met up with Trey (Kendall's half brother). Trey was a lawyer, so he might have defended him or something. Anyways, Trey ended up being Reggie's foster parent/guardian. But then he went to jail for burning down Erica's house. So he asked Jack to take care of Reggie. And they became close and Jack adopted him. I don't know what the story is with Reggie's real parents, though.
