I have my opinion and you all have yours. Last year I was also invited to dinner with an old friend (who also changed very much). I could not believe how fake they were, and also the petty things they fought over.
I guess I just feel more independent (sp?) taking care of myself and forming friendships with people that I like.
I understand your opinions are different from mine, and that's just fine.
And as a side note, I volunteer at a soup kitchen and I can do charity and not be in a sorority. I also have my own connections with people all over the WORLD by talking/meeting people and traveling.
If those are reasons why being in a sorority is important, then it is not for me.
