I think you're being oversensative. He was trying to be funny. Have a bit of a sense of humor.

Just remember the phrase: "Everyone is entitled to their own stupid opinion" (it has served me well). If this fella's fiancée is okay with him saying things like that and might even agree that a woman is best suited to certain domestic responsibilities, then fine. That's their life and their values.

It's kind of like when I tell my girlfriend that a woman's place is barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. I don't really mean it. She knows I don't mean it... so have a bit of a sense of humor and you'll enjoy life more.
