In the Greek Life forum I've noticed a lot of discussion about pinning, laveleiring, and candle passings! So I was curious how your chapters do it! Do you have a ceremony? Do you give your letters to a guy too?
In my chapter we have candle passings. So if a sister gets engaged she will notify her Big Sis and then at meeting we'll announce that we have a candle passing. Everyone will gather around is a circle, holding hands, singing Chi-O songs. The first time the candle goes around symbolizes friendship, second time is promised, third time engagement, and fourth pregnancy
! Whoever blows out the candle is the person who was promised/engaged.
