The Lt. Governor of Connecticut is Jodi Rell (at least if I remember correctly; been a couple years since I've been a resident). She is a Republican.
Rowland was very popular as of a couple years ago, before all the accusations came out. The Democratic party in CT couldnt' round up anyone that could even give him a fight. A series of foolish moves on his part added up.
It really pisses me off - I was a big fan of Rowland before all this started.
