Moot point, seriously. When we people stop attacking military records. It shouldn't matter what "wounds were inflicted" upon an individual. He served and he received his purple hearts. It's like asking how many purple hearts did Bush earn or how bad was Bush wounded?

It shouldn't matter either way because they both served their country.

Some people also feel the same way about our current Commander in Chief sending soldiers to war. I wonder if this individual will compare and contrast their experiences to Bush and then write him a letter?
It's not just what he did during the war. Very few people talk about what he did during you know? It's because they admire him for being in the military regardless of what he did or how he suffered. It's what he did after.
