The hubby yells at him but I think it makes the dog more mad when we do that. Its like we have no control over him getting revenge on us. Im afraid if I yell at him for something, hell pee on my pillow. Any advice? We need something to do. He knows this is bad cause when we come in the room he hides, and we rub his nose in it and say no but it doesnt seem to get him to stop.

Maybe it is time for you to see Dr. Dog? Your dog's behavioral problem could be due to some level of miscommunication between you and your husband's commands and what the dog understands.
Basically, your voice is raised whenever you command him. Do you think your dog can tell the difference in human anger? Maybe he thinks your playing a game with him when he pee-pees on the carpet, then hides...
You need another tatic that cannot be misconstrued in training...
I don't know how that can be done, but I can ask several of the vets I work with to give me an idea...
As far as washing him, maybe you need to take him to a groomer???
