I think there are an equal amount of both men and women who dislike motorcycles, so I don't think it's fair to question the women on this one.
I love bikes. My ex had an R6 that he probably loved more than he loved me. We'd often go riding together, but my mom couldn't know about it because I've lost 2 friends and a cousin to motorcycle accidents. If I had the time to take riding lessons and go get my bike license (not to mention a couple Gs to get a bike), I'd probably do it. A bunch of my friends ride with "Dangerous Curves", the only all female "biker chick" organization on the island.
Just like when operating a car, you can be the world's safest driver out there, but you can't say the same for the other idiots on the road. When you're in a car, at least you have some protection with restraints. You're at greater risk on a bike, even with a helmet.
