Do you plan on transferring and being at that college for 2 years only or could it take more time?
I guess it really depends on the college and the state you are going to. In the south, it is very hard to get into some sororities cause they have like 1000 girls go through a year so its hard to get a bid. Up here though, in Ohio where I am at, we give bids to juniors all the time. Its nice to have a variety of girls. Noone wants to give a bid to someone who will only be here for a semester or something, but you shouldnt be penalized for coming late cause you transferred. A girl I came in with was either a junior or senior. She was only there for a year so Im guessing senior. I felt bad though cause she didnt get to take a diamond as she was in so fast and graduating. She did tell me not too long ago that that year was one of the best years of her life. I say if you decide to go through recruitment and pick a sorority you love, make the most of it. Get involved and do a lot cause you have 2 less years than freshman so you need to get in there and have fun.
What state are you in? As for the book, I dont think there is any book you need. I know there isnt for ADPi. They give you a packet during recruitment about all the sororities on your campus then when you decide the one you want and the girls from that one want you too, then you worry about the stuff youll need. It is definately a mutual selection. Also you dont need to be a party animal to get into any sorority. BE YOURSELF. Thats what most people want. Noone wants someone who is fake or anything so just be who you are and youll do awesome. We are all nervous when we go through but try to talk and not be too shy. Weve had some girls who are so shy we dont know if its they hate us or just shy and nervous. Any more ?'s let us know and good luck. Youll do awesome.
