Re: two eras indeed
Erik,
I guess were miscommunicating right past each othere here. As a proponent of greek life and an advocate for such for more than a dozen years now, I AGREE with you that what has happened to greek life by the anti-greek factions out there is disgusting. Since the anti-greek forces out there are numerous, diverse and have competing agendas I think its a fools errand to try and condense their motivating factors down to a few points dealing maily with physical characteristics.
If your point was not a blanket castigation of homosexuals, lesbians and uglies than for the sake of intellegent debate, please stay away from emotionally charged words like 'limpers' or 'hoggers'. Remember, perception=reality. People see terms used like those and arent going to assume you were using them with altruistic intentions.
I did not make any value statements (positive or negative) on the differeing values of either organization during merger talks. Since I wasnt around 70 years ago, what I know of the talks is what I have read in the LXA history book. I simply said BOTH organizations decided that our values and goals were too different for a merger to be viable at that time. I do think Tom Earp was around back then. We could ask him tho. Tom? lol.
I agree that we should move on. Apology accepted.
