It's not. It's drinking out of it that's the no-no nowadays. Lots of people have shot glass/beer stein collections that if you drank out of them they would skin you alive! (My point being that possessing something does not always equal using it.)
As long as you don't drink out of it or have a display for rush with shot glasses surrounding a bottle of Jack, it's a complete
nonissue and I really wonder why anyone would try to turn it into one.
