I really enjoyed Beloved the movie.
My take:
i mean what was up with ole girl walking out of the water?

When Paul d came into the house and saw red was that Beloved?

What was the point of the movie?
*That's up to you to decide
How is motherhood defined in this crazy movie?
*Loaded question...I saw it as mommy killing baby, baby coming back to "forgive" mommy, mommy giving up baby again as well as driving a wedge between herself and her other daughter. A bleak picture of motherhood at best.
If she was killed at 2 why did she come back grown?
*It's the progression of life. Anyway, how could a two year old be effective in the movie?
Seriously, several times we were drawn into the idea that she was back for good and never really left.
