I have in between hair, I straighten with a flat iron its straight, I use a diffuser and dry it it is curly, I let it dry on its own I'm a wavy frizzball. anyway, I have the Matrix Curlife, I used to use mouse, gel, creme, some heat activated curling stuff and hair spray all in my hair at the same time to get the curl to stay. After I tried the curl life ONCE i threw the rest of the crap out. It works really well, I have thicker hair so I use the creme not the milk. (The pot not the tube). I put some in my hair, start drying with diffuser, about 3/4 way through, I LIGHTLY put on some on the ends which at this point are dry as I'm trying to dry the crown of my head. When I finish I use a little more, as a styling aid and just kind of scrunch and put individual curls where I want them. It is a great product, I only wish they would make a finishing spray.
