Singer Eric Benet is saying, “Show me the money!” Halle is going to have up to pay up to get out of her marriage to Eric Benet. Yes, he cheated on her and humiliated her in the process, but he needs to maintain his lifestyle. Eric has no money. His last album was in 1999, and that featured “Spend My Life With You” with Tamia. Now that everybody knows about Eric and his cheating, he feels this has hurt his career. Eric is fighting the prenuptial agreement and he wants a judge to see if Halle is being honest about her assets. In addition to spousal support, he wants Halle to pay his legal bills and there is also the issue of child support because Halle adopted his daughter. No wonder Halle says she’ll never marry again. It’s costing her too much money.


Congratulations to actress Phylicia Rashad. She is the first black actress to win a Tony Award for the “Lead in a Dramatic Role.” Phylicia is starring on Broadway with Puff Daddy in the revival of “A Raisin in the Sun.” Audra McDonald also won a Tony Award for a supporting role in “A Raisin in the Sun.” Phylicia rose to fame as “Claire Huxtable” on The Cosby Show.


Will the third time be the charm for Jennifer Lopez? Congrats to J-Lo and singer/actor Marc Anthony on their recent marriage. It was a small wedding with about 40 guests and Jennifer wore a veil. This is Jennifer’s third marriage and Marc’s second. He has three children, two sons with his ex-wife, and a daughter from a previous relationship. Marc is best known for the song “I Need To Know” and he was in the Denzel Washington movie Man on Fire. He just got divorced last week from Dayanara Torres, she is a former Miss Universe. J-Lo broke up with actor Ben Affleck six months ago after their highly publicized romance. Why does Jennifer keep getting married? She wants to start a family and she wants to be married when it happens. Let’s hope this union lasts longer than the previous two. Neither marriage lasted longer than a year.


Vanessa Williams and Rick Fox…is there trouble in paradise? The singer/actress and the L.A. Lakers star are under the microscope. Published reports suggest Rick has been chasing other “foxes” and last week Vanessa would not participate in an article about the wives of the Lakers. Shaq’s wife participated, Gary Peyton, and Karl Malone’s wives also joined in and they even talked about their relationship with Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife. They say they will be there to protect Kobe’s wife. They discussed their relationships and what it is like to be married to a Laker. They made no mention of Vanessa Williams and their relationship with her.


How do you cheer up your man when he doesn’t advance to the playoffs? You take him on a shopping spree. That’s what Supermodel Tyra Banks did for her boyfriend Chris Webber of the Sacramento Kings. She took him shopping and let him buy anything he wanted.


Janet Jackson says she doesn’t want to become a nymphomaniac. Janet makes this shocking confession in the latest edition of Blender Magazine. Janet revealed how an ex-lover accused her of being one because she loves sex so much. She says she discovered sex at the age of 12 when she caught her parents in the act. She also says she had crushes and fantasies about singers Barry Manilow and Teddy Pendergrass.


Brandy graces the cover of the new Vibe Magazine. Brandy is showing off her latest tattoos and she discusses her conversion to Scientology. Tom Cruise, Lisa Marie Pressley and John Travolta are also Scientologist. Brandy says she turned to Scientology because Prayer wasn’t working for her. Her new album, Afrodisiac comes out at the end of the month. Brandy reveals a new side of her, including her first love affair with Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, her short lived marriage, being a mommy and her decision to end her recording partnership with producer Rodney Jerkins.


American Idol judge Paula Abdul is coming out with a jewelry line. Paula’s line of jewelry will be available this August at all Sam’s Clubs locations. (CT4's note: Sams Club, BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh and Kanye West has a clothing line out sometime in December)


Congrats to actor Wesley Snipes and his wife Nikki they recently welcomed their third child a boy.



Star Jones says when she marries investment banker Al Reynolds this fall she will be taking his name and she will be known professionally as Star Reynolds.


Motown founder Berry Gordy’s life is coming to television. NBC is planning a mini-series about Motown. The mini-series will be based on Berry’s autobiography, To Be Loved, The Music, The Magic, The Memories of Motown.


Elise Neal (UPN’s All of Us) and Anthony Anderson have joined the cast of the John Singleton movie Hustle and Flow. Terrance Howard and rapper Ludacris will star in the movie about a pimp trying to turn his life around.


Denzel Washington the author? Yes, the Oscar winner will be writing the introduction to an inspirational book about leaders. Proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of America.


Whitney Houston is headed to China to do some concert dates. There’s no word on whether her hubby Bobby Brown will be joining her, but the couple is still going strong. They are currently working on their reality TV series and Bobby’s new CD, Invisible, is due out this fall.


R. Kelly’s new album Happy People which features the new single, “U Saved Me” comes out on July 13th. The 20 song collection features dance/step songs, inspirational songs and a lot of love songs.
