I know this one was pointed to the Sorors, but I'll respond because I feel I have a right. Please forgive me sorors, if I am out of line by responding.
With regard to the comments from OhSoVeryLadylike about the Sigmas at the RHO Chapter, I'll say this:
As you travel around you'll definitely encounter people who'll disappoint you. These people are from ALL walks of life (BGLO or not).
You will see people who are not very interested in POSITIVELY promoting themselves. (I assume this is what you meant.) On the oher side of that you'll see people who are VERY interested in doing this. Lets not focus too much on those that we perceive to be un-positive. We should concentrate more on doing positive things.
For the neo, you tell him to just hold strong and concentrate on accomplishing his goals for Sigma (and his community). This is what is ultimately important anyway.
Also, tell him to register for GreekChat. I am sure the sorors (and the frat) would like to hear from some positive brothers.
As for meeting people who are apathetic about organizations they are in, you'll meet those people everywhere. Remember, it's all about perception. What one member feels may not neccessarily be the gospel for everyone.
