That's all it is.
She gets married/engaged to all these guys because it gets people talking. It's great press for herself and for the guy she's with. She would not be as mainstream if it weren't for all her infamous relationships. As long as people keep talking about her and her random husbands, she will keep doing the marriage and divorce dance.
It seems like outlandish weddings is the thing to do to boost album sales or for some publicity. coughBritneycough
