I cannot believe that she even thinks that she has a case. It saddens/maddens me that people think that fraternities and sororities have such deep pockets that they should compensate for damages such as this. I mean, I empathize with the parents of this boy, but like DeltAlum said...it's a bit of a stretch to try and hold the fraternity responsible. If anything, they were doing the RIGHT thing by not letting an underage individual into a party where alcohol was being consumed. In another article I read, they said that the young man was not gunned down in front of the club, but a little ways off. Doesn't this city impose a curfew anyway? Shouldn't the mother have any responsibility for her child being out in the streets at such a time as this? I dunno, I just think it is an unfortunate situation all around, but trying to find blame where there is none is not going to ease her pain.
