Club, fraternity sued in teen's fatal shooting
from www.wfaa.com:
Quote:
Kelley & Witherspoon, attorneys for the mother of
Pierre Malone, a 16-year-old high school junior from
Garland who was fatally wounded in a shooting May 23
in downtown Dallas, filed a $31 million lawsuit
Wednesday against Eddie Deen's Ranch and Alpha Phi
Alpha fraternity. Mr. Malone had gone with friends to
Eddie Deen's Ranch at 933. S. Lamar for a
fraternity-sponsored party billed as Ice Storm II. The
suit alleges that the fraternity and facility managers
were negligent in not stopping the party after earlier
reports of violence and in failing to provide
sufficient guards or off-duty police officers, better
lighting and more vehicle exits.
