I don't normally eat red meat. I will if mom cooks it but as far as restaurants go, I can't stand the fact that someone else is judging what is fully cooked and then expects me to eat it. (I trust that my own mother and family wouldn't serve me uncooked meat.)
I have been eating a lot of veggie burgers lately. I love them and they have lots of protein in them. This all started after I realized that the frozen Essentia burgers I bought at Albertsons had 31 (!YES THIRTY ONE!) grams of fat in them... per burger. They are sitting in my freezer now... I don't like throwing food out, but I ain't gonna eat "the heart attack on a plate."
But Trader Joes and Whole Foods Market have become my new best friends. I still love milk and will buy it anywhere, but I try to stick to organic meat (including lunchmeat.)
But I have always been a chicken and fish girl. Big ol' steaks were never my thing. This is why I always hated going to Black Angus with my family.
