1) Buses, monorail, commuter trains, and a commuter ferry.

2) Pretty much, except the monorail line doesn't go where I need it to go, and sometimes the buses are overcrowded.

3) Trolleys (electric powered buses) usually run every 5-10 minutes; diesel routes usually run every 15-30 minutes; commuter routes (way out to the burbs) run every 30 minutes - 90 minutes (in off-peak hours); not sure about the trains or ferry.

4) Yes, and this is the only city where I've seen all classes of people riding transit. It's refreshing.

5) Mostly clean, mostly safe. There are some monorail stations where I wouldn't be caught in after dark, but they're nowhere near me so I don't have to worry about it.
