Thanks everyone! Well, I got there and sat in the courtroom. Once people were seated, they brought in the inmates, IN SHACKLES!! Whaat??? That was wild. He was in an orange jumpsuit (as opposed to blue if anyone knows what that means.) Anyway, he sat there staring at me and then turn to the guys on either side of him and all three turned around to stare at me. Finally, legal aid came over to say that I could sit outside if I wanted to. Ummm, ya coulda told me that BEFORE!!

Outcome: The detective never showed up, so I get to go back next week. I also found out that it was the DEFENSE that subpoena'd me, NOT the prosecution. I hate them!!
