Ralph Fiennes would be great as well.... Some argue he's not a big enough box-office draw, but w/this book to movie project, I think that is a worthless argument. People are going to go see it no matter what.

I don't really like any of the suggestions for casting. But they better not cast Tom Hanks. I just don't think he would be good in this role.

I think they should stay away from major Box office players for this one actually.
There is one actress that I think would make a great Sophie.
Her name is Tilda Swinton. She played the french judge in "The Statement" starring Michael Cain.
