1991 Buick Regal - A hand-me-down from my father. He bought himself a Beamer and my mother a Lexus; I got stuck with the Regal.
It definitely was not a sexy car but it got me from Point A to Point B. Plus, I always got stuck driving when my friends and me would hang out since the car fit 6 people and most of my friends had tiny sports cars. The car was fondly named "The Tank".
1999 Ford Escort ZX2 - My current car. I got this as a high school graduation present from the parents (I paid half and they paid the other half). It's been pretty good to me so far although the air conditioning and tape deck have gone out twice.
My sister got stuck with "The Tank" after I got the ZX2. During my Sophomore year in college, my sister called me up one day to tell me she had the best news ever. "The Tank" died. The transmission went out and it would cost over $4,000 to fix it. The car was only worth $2,000. She was cheering in the driveway when AAA came to tow it away. She says it was one of the best days of her life. My parents got her a used 1999 Honda Civic.
