I attended a First Holy Communion Party at the Milleridge Inn last weekend. It is a facility that is over 300 years old. This event was held in one of the smaller rooms. There were seven children under the age of seven. The youngest was born in March and she was the only good one. The six of them ran around the table screaming at the tops of their lungs. Their parents and grandparents did nothing to stop them. When they became bored with that, they began to run outside the room. The room had two doors so the children ran outside from door to door. When they were bored with that, they decided to sit under the table. I thought at least they were out of sight until they started to shake the table and nearly turn it over. As if that weren't enough, they decided it would be fun to take off our shoes despite me telling them not to. They played with their food and gum and spilled drinks all over the table. My mother couldn't take it anymore so we left. I couldn't believe that none of the three sets of parents attempted to correct their behavior. They are wild children. I felt so bad for the waiters.
