No, that'd be bad.
Say they did cooperate and get along... Then we'd have more legislation make it through. More laws to complicate our lives and just more crap to deal with. The more gridlock on capital hill, the less new pains in the ass we have to deal with.
I kind of like this 50/50 split thing.
