I agree with OohTeenyWahine, trying to reason with someone who is like this is probably a waste of time. Their mind is made up and will not be changed, no matter how many pro-Greek statistics you quote to them.
(such as charitable hours, donations made by GLO members, etc.)
However, I have to say, sometimes, I think Greeks need to give deep consideration what actions/images they demonstrate to non-Greeks. One of these things that comes to mind is some of the slogans which are on t-shirts....
I know that there are t-shirts out there that say stuff like:
"Proud to be a QQQ" (which I think is fine, it's not all that different than saying "Proud to be Irish", "Proud to be Italian", what have you. It is fine to be proud, without putting others down.)
However, I think t-shirts which display slogans that assume a "tone of supremacy" like "QQQ sorority/fraternity...only the best get chosen" or stuff like that, I can understand where non-Greek people are coming from when they think Greeks are "stuck up" or "snobby", because these slogans (in my opinion) are elitist and snobby.
What do you all think?
