1) Do you have mass transit where you live, and what type?

Yes, we have buses. DTS has been researching for years on a monorail-like mass transit system, but I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

2) Does it get you where you need to go?

It runs more frequently in the downtown/metro area, but it also goes to pretty much every part of the island. There are certain "Circle Island" buses that tourists like to use and it goes around the island.

3) Does it run frequently?

Yes. The buses that go from the suburbs come every 10-15 minutes. The buses in the downtown area arrive every 5-10.

4) Is the ridership composed of all classes of people? If not, is there a stigma for people who use it?

Yes. Being that parking pretty much sucks and is expensive in downtown, most people opt to catch the bus from their homes. You'll see businessmen/women in their power suits, elementary school kids and their parents, college students, and the elderly.

All buses are also equipped with bike racks in front and to the rear exteriors of the bus for those traveling very long distances.

5) Is it clean and safe?

Very clean and safe. In fact, TheBus was named America's Best Transit System in 1994-1995 and 2000-2001.
