First of all I would like to tell you how proud I am of you. There are not too many young ladies that are brave enough to ask people in sororities about their reasons for joining. To be honest with you there are so many reasons I joined Zeta and I would be lying if I told you that there was one answer.
However, I will try to give you a brief reason. I have always been the person who has never been impressed or concerned with numbers,looks or what other people felt I should join. On my campus there were 4 ladies who represented what Zetas call Finer womanhood. They were professional and most of all kind. I was already popular on campus and had the prestige others look for a sorority to give them. I had no reason to join anything for a superficial reason. I was so impressed by the ladies on campus that I decided to do some investigation for myself. What is seen on the outside may not be what is seen within. I went on the internet and fell in love with the Zeta firsts. They are the only sorority with the principal of finer womanhood, they are the first ones to establish chapters in Africa, the first ones to have a national headquaters. In viewing all of these accomplishments I fell in love with Zeta because they only had 5 founders. I personally am a very hard worker and the Zeta thrusts and national campaigns of community service invoked my interests further.
I didn't stop there though....I wanted to see how they were on other campuses. I didn't want to join Zeta on my campus to find that they were the exception and not the rule. I went to campuses on the east coast and in the south and I found that they along with the Sigmas had nothing but love for each other. I respected that because I know that it is very hard to maintain a loving relationship with people that you have to work with or people who you do not know very well. That is all that I will write for now, reasons to join Zeta should be of your own exposure, morals and beliefs. Don't let people tell you what to do and please don't think that just because you are an archonette that you should be a Zeta. The archonette program was established to support young ladies like yourself and give you positive reinforcement. Make Zeta happy by doing what is in your heart. All Zetas have their reasons for joining Zeta, make sure you have the right ones for joining any organization.
