Oh I so adore the malls of Atlanta
The malls in Greensboro and Winston Salem are more than adequate, but Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, South Park in Charlotte, South Point in Durham, and Concord Mills in Concord are all an hour and a half away or less. Also, there are some very adorable small shops in Burlington/Elon College that I love going to!
I'm still trying to plan a trip to the Mall of America- I have waited so long to go on a vacation where the mall is the FEATURE attraction, not just a side trip
