The only person I would constantly fight (I mean from elementary school until 7th grade) was my best friend, who is my daughter's God-mother. I mean we would be cool for like 3 months straight, but on the 4th month or so, something would happen and we would get the scrapping. Sometimes she won, sometimes I won.

It's funny how we tell folks this and they are shocked and amazed that we are still friends to this day (we are both in our early 30's).

I guess fighting with her was like fighting with a sibling. We were both raised as only children although we have half-siblings on our father's side. It also didn't help that we lived in the same building and her mother used to babysit me while my mother worked in the evening.

Since she was the only person that I really fought, I was a spectator during any other fights going on in the 'hood (the projects).
