Dr. Monique Yvette Wells has been praised by Ebony magazine, the Houston Chronicle, Newsweek International, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Detroit Free Press, CNN, the Washington Post and countless other American and foreign publications for her "treasury of recipes that celebrates the creativity of Black American cuisine..."
Dr.Wells left home at the age of 16 to pursue undergraduate studies in biology and French at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. There she became a charter member of the Mu Iota Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on May 19, 1979.
Dr. Wells is a veterinary pathologist who has lived and worked in Paris, France since 1992. She is currently employed by L'Oreal, and is co-owner of Discover Paris!, a travel service run by her and her husband Tom Reeves.
