I have a new IM pet peeve
One of my sisters has up a message that says "Hey, guess what? I'm in Germany. Be back in 10 days!!!!!!!!
Ok, its great that you are in Germany and all, but so are 2 of the other sisters (its a Holocost class run by my college) and they didn't see the need to leave their computers on for 10 days, accomplishing nothing but making your utlility bill higher and wasting electricity!!!
In a nut shell, if you are going somewhere for more than 2 days, please shut off your computer. Lets save some fossil fuels!!
