Take comfort in the fact that they are only jealous of something you have & will not (or cannot) share w/ them. And you've got a whole nation of sisters that can either empathize or sympathize w/ your situation!
My sister has done the same thing to me, when I rushed she asked me "why do you need 'sisters' when you've got me?" and then once I pledged Sigma Kappa she asked me "are you satisfied now that you've got a sorority sticker for your car?" I found her comments to be incredibly painful because she just doesn't understand! But after years of trying to help her understand I've completely given up on her.
