ELCA Lutheran since 1988. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America didn't exist before then. The church I was baptized in was an American Lutheran Church. However with issues currently in the church, there may not be an ELCA in the next couple of years.

However being a pan-Lutheran person, I could share a hot dish and a jello salad with ISUKappa

Edited after phonecall to mom for clarification. We didn't change our church constitution from Norwegian until the 50's. The Lutherans two blocks away still worship in German, and there is a congregation in the East Bay that worships in Finnish.
