I have naturally dark dark brown hair and I never ever colored it until I finally gave in last summer and got some blonde highlights put in. I absolutely loved them and now almost a year later I have just gotten more and more put in. I didn't think I'd ever look right with having a ton of blonde in my hair since I am dark complected and all that but I get soooooo many compliments on my hair and it's probably my favorite part of me.
Start out with just a few highlights, it's so much easier to add more on than it is to take out highlights. (Trust me this happened to me over spring break.
