I don't mind Canadian pennies since I can pass them on anyway. What irritates me are Canadian quarters because they don't work in vending machines! CoinStar won't take them either.
I also live quite near the border and get Canadian change often. I have a $20 Canadian bill in my purse, for sometime when I go to Canada again.
