I didn't need the war to say things that weren't supportive of the president. I was a irritated Texan during his term as governor. It never occured to me that after folks saw how kids were failing (in record numbers) his achievement test and NOT graduating from HS that his whole education plan would have gotten him sent home. Then I assumed that his serious lack of any political experience save Texas (which was handed to him by virtue of all the base closings which screwed up some local economies) that folks would have second guess his ability to lead a nation. He was elected in spite of all of that and I haven't supported a solitary thing he's done in office. Didn't mean I wanted soldiers sent to a nation that doesn't want us there, didn't want them or the people of that nation killed, didn't want the possibility of watching more people sent off to fight in something they don't necessarily understand or that I wanted to see my students called up in the middle of their semesters to leave the country.
Could the gas have been planted yes? Do I think it was? Not really. And you're right I wouldn't give HIM credit for solving a cross word puzzle at this point because I think he's done a LOT of things that have RUINED the impression of this country and we are about 5 shakes from being under UN sanctions ourselves. Did he do the best he could have under the circumstances? It's debatable but I won't be upset if he's not reelected.
