You can also take suppliments. That was something that was suggested by my trainer when I told him I don't eat a lot of protein. But Em, I am sure you know this already... heavy protein diets and diabetics don't mix.

I actually went shopping at Whole Foods yesterday. It's like a Trader Joes but with a lot more selection. I bought a TON of fruits and vegis. As well as fish and veggieburgers. I have never had a veggieburger but I figure it's better than the regular beef patties you buy in the store. Look for products with vegetable protein in them.
