You can get pads to put on the floor to train your dog.
My ex-aunt had a teacup poodle and when he was still a puppy she would lay a pad down so if they weren't home the dog would pee on the pad. You could put one in a section of the crate so he doesn't pee on him self, or you could leave him out of the crate and put one in the kitchen and train him to sue it when he can't go outside.
