It's true. The "meeting" thing did seem like an editing scam or something. Either something was up or no one really ever announced the meeting to them. It did seem strange to me. I have been watching it over and over and it still doesn't make sense. Like you said, of all people, Ness would never miss a meeting being that he is so "hungry" and dedicated to the whole project. I can't see Sara missing any meetings either. Babs is a loose cannon, but being that she was only coming from Brooklyn, she could have made it. Chopper could have been anywhere. He's done it before. Fred, well, forget him. He pulled it before.
If you listen to Phil, he says something like "Sara is definitiely going to be here. We have to check on Ness, Chopper, and Fred." Ok, she is definitely going to be here for what? Why would she come a day late? I don't see Babs calling from Target when she should be at a meeting, especially after Puff had just clicked on them a few days before. They shouls have known it was real from the way he handled Dylan. It all seemed fake.
Fred is a butthead. They showed that mud and stick hut that he lives in in Miami. He should have relished living on Park Ave. That dude has to be on crack.
