Some of these came into being at the 1902 conference
and others developed as needed obviously.

On another NPC group's website, I found a wonderful NPC heritage manual. It's 64 pages! I was able to save it before that resource went on their private side. It doesn't really get into nitty gritty details but it gives a nice overview.

Here are a few examples -
1902 - As part of the 1902 compact, it was decided that there would be a ban on pledging pre-matriculated women. “Spiking” was rampant at the turn of the 20th century.

1915 – It was determined that a young woman who broke her pledge from one fraternity may join another after one year had passed.

1930 – NPC discussed and reaffirmed its “gentlemen’s agreement” with the AES. It also discussed junior colleges. Many delegates agreed that there was a need for fraternity life on these campuses. However, all felt that junior colleges were not legitimate fields for the general college fraternities (NPC). NPC did urge the recognition of women transferring from these schools as eligible candidates.
