At first I was put off by the people who would ask if I was from "out east", or the "east coast" because, as far as I am concerned, Chicago is the midwest, not "out east". Also, there is a bit of snobbishness about some people from California, like they are better than you for being born in San Deigo, and can say that 50 degrees is "cold".
That being said, the geography and weather here is wonderful. I really do like it!

I admit people from Cali do have a bit of snobbiness about where they are from...and I know I personally am guilty of it...I don't look down on people not from Cali... I'm just very happy here and will argue it's the best place on earth to live ! I do say that I call it the flyover sometimes though.. but I don't visit there that often... I don't have any family and only a few friends there to visit.. so most of the time I do fly over it.. although most of the time I call it the middle... however.... I've had people ask me if I'm gay just because I live in San Francisco... and some people I've met are suprised I can't surf
