But seriously, I think this is cruel... these animals are sterile, have shorter lifespans, are basically guaranteed to suffer from cancer and other degenerative diseases, and will never be able to live in the wild... all to be some side show in the local zoo. I think this is just prelude to a fur-harvesting scheme, to be honest... aren't tigers andlions endangered, and therefore not legally huntable? "Tigons and Ligers" are neither, so it'll probably be open season. I won't be surprised if Lil' Kim is rocking one of these coats next season, and it becomes the next hot thing.
I'll wear the heck out of some *naturally born, put by God-on-this-earth* fur, but that would be really sad, to basically create a new species for harvesting like that.
