Asleep in GA
The UGa chapter has been closed all year, and the house sold (fortunately for enough to pay off all the loans and keep 30 of us stupid alumni from having to pay up).
This was a chapter that won Top Teke Chapter for 10 years in a row.
Then they got a house with big columns on the main drag.
I don't think they ever won another award after getting the big house.
At one point, the BOC pres. decided that the chapter pres. and treas. should be paid (his younger brother was the treas.). One Prytanis told the board that since the alumni owned the house, the alumni should collect the rent.
Following several emergency loans and a Buckwheat revival (pictured on The Teke cover), it was bye-bye.
